St. Patrick’s Day

Happy St. Patrick’s Day guys…

To be honest, I’m not sure what St. Patrick’s day is all about. I just know to wear green or risk getting a pinch. So to educate myself and those of you who are like me, I went on the web to find out.

St Patrick’s Day is a global celebration of Irish culture on or around March 17. It particularly remembers St Patrick, one of Ireland’s patron saints, who ministered Christianity in Ireland during the fifth century.

I’m all for Ireland! I’m all for Christianity! I’m all for celebration! So I guess I really do mean it when I say “Happy St. Patrick’s Day”.

Taelor seemed more in the know about it though. When I saw him that morning, he had already gotten showered and dressed up. The first thing he said after his warm and snuggly “Good Morning, Mommy” hug, was a cheery “Happy St. Patrick’s Dayyy, Mommy!”.

Unlike me, he remembered and was dressed in green to show it. I, on the other hand, was not in green, but Taelor wasn’t in any rush to pinch me. The boy sure does love his momma <giggles>

I heated up some food for him and as he ate, I went to go change into something with green. Turns out that I didn’t have a lot of green outfits, so I took to my makeup bag and with the help of my green eyeliner and shadows, I created a green butterfly on my cheek.

When he was done eating, we went to his room so I could give him a drawing just like the one I drew on my cheek.

He loved it. Butterflies are one of his favorite creatures ever.

When we were done decorating his face, we decided to go out window shopping before his bed time. He got his little back pack and cardigan then off we went.

I believe we went to Fameshed. We saw these lovely cardigans that I do love. But it was rather expensive, and they didn’t really fit Taelor that well. Still, was fun trying out Demos and doing a bit of window shopping together.

Night time soon came and we went on home for bed time. We did say prayers before I tucked him in for the night.

We’re both so thankful for another day. We’re so blessed.
